About Dr. Good

Candace Good, MD, provides holistic psychiatric care and lifestyle consultations at Sig: Wellness Studio in State College, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Good received her medical degree in 1999 from Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. As a proud Penn State alum, she continues to participate in alumni mentoring programs and maintains a clinical teaching appointment with the Penn State College of Medicine regional campus at University Park. Dr. Good is also employed as a staff psychiatrist at Penn State Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).

To empower people to better understand their role in making the most of their mental health treatments, Dr. Good founded Sig: Wellness Studio, LLC, to provide the benefits of complementary therapies along with psychiatric care. In preparation, Dr. Good completed extensive training programs for health professionals from Wellcoaches and the Maharishi Ayurveda Association of America. Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine rooted in the belief that the key to optimal health is mind-body balance.

At Sig: Wellness Studio, Dr. Good provides a personalized wellness approach for mind-body health care to help individuals pursue nonprescription lifestyle changes or nonprescription supplements to improve their life. Dr. Good is currently accepting adult patients by provider referral for collaborative care and specializes in treating conditions like anxiety, depression, and other stress-related issues. She also offers lifestyle consultations.

In addition to her practice, Dr. Good also served as chair of psychiatry at the Mount Nittany Medical Center from 2016-2018. In 2017, she was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) and was recognized as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). She’s also a freelance medical writer and offers personal statement-writing workshops for undergraduates and medical students.

Dr. Good is board-certified in both general and child and adolescent psychiatry. She enjoys knitting and spending time with her family, especially her daughter and two rescue hounds.
